Description
For Mississisippi MENTOR and The MENTOR Network, an Administrative Assistant is critical to our success and exemplifies the wonderful mission driven work we do here every day.
To that end, the Administrative Assistant role is a fantastic role to continue your career path in Social and Human Services with a myriad of career options to move up and across the organization.
Duties include; but are not limited to, the following:
Effectively interacting with staff to answer questions and provide assistance
Calculating and processing payroll using Krono's software
Calculating and processing billing
Screening applications in Taleo
Submitting candidates for background checks
Conducting reference calls
Answering telephones and greeting visitors
Preparing correspondence
Providing data entry support
Scheduling meetings as well as assisting in the set up and tear down of meetings
Ordering office and medical supplies
Preparing and distributing mail
Processing invoices and reimbursements as assigned
Maintaining a well-organized clutter free office and maintain all office equipment
Various project based work
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years of related experience
Must have excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
Must be able to meet strict deadlines and work well under pressure
Must be able to multitask
Must be able to work quickly and accurately with numbers
Must be a team player and be willing to assist others as needed
Must have a valid drivers license and insurance
Prior Kronos experience a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
