The purpose of this position is to assist in the development and support the company-wide interest rate derivatives program and commercial loan and deposit pricing processes.
Assist in providing timely customer derivatives and loan/deposit pricing guidance and decision-making support directly to retail personnel, consistent with established policies and procedures, including gathering all necessary information for determining the appropriate negotiated loan and deposit rates, term structure, option structure, break-funding charges, and swaps/caps/floors/collars pricing and structure.
Assist Pricing and Derivatives Analyst II in building and maintaining loan and deposit pricing methods/models. Evaluate and document reasonableness of modeling assumptions and maintain relevant documentation. Assist with the development and implementation of a loan prepayment penalty methodology/process.
Generate accurate, timely and comprehensible management reports required for determining and tracking the effectiveness of the loan and deposit pricing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring ongoing compliance with pricing objectives. Assist with the preparation for periodic CRM calls/meetings.
Assist in the pricing, structuring and execution of derivative transaction with loan customers. Assist with the development of derivative products training materials/classes and with the preparation of sales and marketing presentations/calling notes.
Provide internal support on derivatives operations and accounting and coordinate the process between internal and external resources.
Generate accurate, timely and comprehensive derivative position reports and ensure ongoing compliance with derivative policies.
Implement all loan index and deposit rate changes with DP (product control), including communication of rate changes to retail personnel, distribution of rate changes to external vendors, maintenance of rate change records and interest plans as well as verification of rate change accuracy.
General understanding of financial mathematics, profitability concepts, and interest rate derivatives
Understanding of capital markets and macro economic theory
Knowledge of financial accounting practices
Familiarity with bank interest rate risk (IRR) and liquidity management, funds transfer pricing (FTP), loan and deposit pricing theory, and balance sheet management
Ability to research, learn and apply complex analytical methods/models and complex instruments, including loans, swaps, caps, floors and other interest rate derivatives
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and goals effectively
Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Graduate degree in business with concentration in accounting, economics, finance or other quantitative discipline
OR
Bachelor degree in business with concentration in accounting, economics, finance, or other quantitative discipline with a minimum of 2 years experience in the field or in a related area

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
