16 WAPT Hearst Television's ABC affiliate in Jackson, MS, has an opening for a Photographer. Need an experienced shooter who can help create visual unique content under deadline pressure.
Responsibilities:Job
Responsibilities:
o The candidate will be responsible to help coordinate schedules, maintain edit suite and maintain photographer car fleet.
o Candidate will need to lead, introduce and implement strategies to enhance the Photography and editing department of the newsroom.

o have excellent news judgment
o lead breaking news coverage
o be ready to work a flexible schedule
o manage future assignments with assignment desk
o develop contacts and sources on beat coverage
o work with management team on strategic plan
o be able to multi-task under deadline pressure
o be accountable for quality control on product
o be a positive influence on the newsroom
Education:Education:
o Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience
Experience:
Experience:
o Daily Editing, shooting experience
o Live truck and Sat truck experience a plus
o Extensive editing experience on Adobe Premiere a plus
