Belhaven University, a dynamic, growing Christ-centered university located in the capital city of Jackson, MS, is seeking applications for the position of Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Administration. Belhaven is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC), the Mid-South Conference (MSC) and offers seventeen National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) sports programs. Belhaven is currently in the transition process to NCAA Division III membership.
The Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Administration reports to the Vice President for Athletics and is responsible for all aspects of athletics compliance, including: Administration of NCAA Division III and conference compliance; oversight of yearly rules education and testing; certification of student-athlete eligibility; monitoring practice and playing season activity, as well as official and unofficial visits; work with the athletic training staff to insure documentation compliance; leadership of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SSAC) alongside the VP for Athletics; conducting student-athlete team meetings including new student-athlete orientation; compilation of NCAA, conference and University reports; administrative tasks within the Department; other duties as assigned by supervisor. Should the selected candidate merit consideration, the position may be elevated to facilitate contribution to the ongoing vision for Belhaven University Athletics as well as leadership and consultation with University administration on matters related to Title IX and gender equity.
Bachelor's degree and demonstrated success in athletics administration. NCAA compliance experience preferred, Division III compliance experience a plus. Effective verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated capacity for extreme accuracy and organization; sound interpersonal skills in dealing with student-athletes, parents, Athletics Department and University personnel, as well as members of the off-campus community; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment. The candidate must fully support the vision and mission of the University and subscribe to its Statement of Faith.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
