00 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE RESPONDING New Progressions LLC is currently seeking Full time Qualified Mental Health Professionals to serve clients who suffer from severe to persistent mental illness in Jackson MS and surrounding areas.
The Qualified Professional / (QP) will serve as a community liaison for clients.
As a QP, emergency and on-call support will be provided.
All clients' records will be monitored and reviewed for progress on a regular basis.
The QP will evaluate treatment plans on a weekly basis to insure that goals are obtainable and strategies are implemented appropriately.
All NP staff have responsibility for the following under the direction of the team leader:
Participating in the individual service plan (ISP) Assisting with implementing a home-based behavioral support plan with the beneficiary and the beneficiary's caregivers as indicated in the ISP Providing psychoeducation as indicated in the ISP Assisting the team leader in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, as evidenced by symptom reduction and progress toward goals identified in the ISP Assisting with crisis interventions Assisting the team leader in consulting with identified providers, engaging community and natural supports, and including their input in the person-centered planning process KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Will have knowledge of mental illness, substance abuse, behavior modification, behavior management and developmental psychology.
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Have an ability to handle frequent crises.
Have an ability to apply counseling techniques to problems in individual and group sessions.
Be able to provide consultation and coordination of services with other agencies.
Must possess good communication skills.
Be able to provide supervision to staff to include monitoring, evaluating and recommending strategies for working with adolescents and children.
Be able to provide emergency on-call services on a 24/7/365 first responder basis.
All staff providing mental health services to children/adults and families must have a minimum of one (1) year documented experience with this population.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a human service field and has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling; or A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a field other than human services and has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
Working Conditions:
A QP is responsible for being the first point of contact for their clients in the event of a crisis 24/7/365.
