9K a year Mississippi Home Corporation seeks a candidate for the role of Compliance Officer II.
The incumbent will assist in the review of Housing Tax Credit (HTC) developments for compliance with requirements of Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC); properties financed under the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation's Affordable Housing Program (FDIC) and other applicable affordable housing programs.
Responsibilities include spearheading effective on-site visits; accurately receiving & processing reports and fees; appropriately preparing IRS reports on noncompliance, occasional presentations at speaking engagements, coordinating internal and external training events, and more.
The ideal candidate must possess:
In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
Progressive work experience working with multiple housing programs.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ethical and committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity.

EDUCATION and
Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in public policy and administration, auditing, urban planning, or a related field and at least three (5) years of experience working with a property or asset management firm that has directly managed a portfolio containing HTC developments in addition to other housing programs, STRONGLY PREFERRED.
Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
There is no supervisory obligation with this position.
Travel with some overnight instances, required.
