Registered Nurse - Jackson, MS

Communicate with patients, colleagues, and other individuals (e.g. pharmacists, schools) to answer questions, disseminate or explain appropriate medication information, and address patient medication needs/concerns. Serve as the medical support liaison between practitioner and other professionals and agencies as related to the patient. Assist practitioner in submitting Prior Authorization (PA) requests for medications. Assist practitioner in calling in prescriptions/refills to Pharmacy and checking on lab orders. If on site, assist practitioner with taking vitals, completing notes, submitting PAs. Maintain, and supervise maintenance of, accurate records in EMR of assistance provided in regard to patient/medication issues. Ensure compliance with all state regulatory bodies, including re-licensure/re-certification of NPs. Monitor medications and provide ongoing support and education regarding medications Monitor vital signs/Nursing assessment and other duties as assigned by practicing physician/psychiatrist/practitioner Completes daily progress notes.
Qualifications:
