Description:
Leidos is looking for a Backup and Recovery expert with specialization in CommVault or Legato backup and NetApp storage technologies to join Entergy's Corporate Storage team. Current storage environment includes various Netapp storage technologies (FAS62XX, FAS32xx, FAS22xx, OnCommand Suite, Snapmirror, Snapmanager, Snaplock, Dedupe, CIFS/NFS), Commvault, Legato, and Cisco MDS SAN Switches. Server environment consists of physical and virtual instances of Solaris, Linux, and Windows systems using VMWare and Solaris zones/containers/LDOMs. Candidate must be able to acclimate to our rapidly changing environment quickly and contribute immediately. Regularly interact with senior management. Responsible for the technical direction, leadership, and training of less experienced staff. Participates in 24x7x365 on-call rotation to support enterprise wide Storage environment. Travel in the 0-10% range may be required.
Other Responsibilities include:
Perform creation, allocation and reclamation in a SAN and NAS environment.
Install backup software, backup clients, and SAN storage agents.
Develop storage automation scripts in UNIX and Windows environments.
Configure backup clients.
Create backup schedules based on Entergy standards and best practices.
Monitor backup success/failure rates and develop detailed reports for customer management groups.
Perform data restores.
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors in tape and disk based backup environments.
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors in SAN and NAS storage systems.
Document server, storage, and network layout of SAN, NAS and backup environment.
Work with Storage Engineering leads to design cost effective and efficient enterprise storage and backup solutions.
Qualifications
: Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline desired and 8 plus years of professional storage administration and engineering experience. 2 years college course work with an additional 2 years experience may be considered. Hands on experience with complex Backup environments. Expert with Legato Network or CommVault technologies. Experience with NetApp Filer administration. Previous experience with UNIX/Linux and Windows systems administration in an enterprise environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
