Senior Design Engineer
Essential Job Functions:
o Communicate effectively in visual, oral and written form.
o Design and detail control systems to meet customer business objectives.
o Analyze the characteristics of existing and emerging technologies and their use in the project environment to determine effective solutions for AS3, Inc.
o Modify, archive, update, and maintain existing engineering assets, design drawings, and materials.
o Develop instructional materials for employee and customer training.
o Design process and work aids to support efficient work flow that reflects the diversity of our new and current employees.
o Plan and manage control design projects on time and under budget.
o Provide sales support, meeting support, and ongoing liaison with customer design engineer of record.
o Promote collaboration, partnerships and positive relationships among the project team.
o Ability to work regularly and dependably and meet short and long-term deadlines.
o Ability to function and thrive in a team environment.
o Demonstrate ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.
o Demonstrate ability to perform mental tasks such as making decisions, learning, thinking rationally and exercising good judgment.
o Other duties as assigned.
Required
Qualifications:
o Associate's or Bachelor's degree in technical or educational field required.
o 4-6 years related experience.
o High energy level, positive attitude, and capable of working in a flexible and dynamic environment.
o Excellent written and oral communication skills.
o Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills.
o Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team-focused environment.
o Ability to effectively handle pressure, time deadlines, and audience variables.
o Demonstrated self-starter and self-finisher.
o Intermediate to advanced level computer skills.
o Proficiency in the Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, required
o Proficiency in AutoCad.
o Tridium Certified
o Experience with I.S. technologies, networks (LAN/WAN).
Preferred
Qualifications:
o Data center and clean room experience a plus.
o Experience with Trane products such as Tracer Summit, Rover, and unit controls a plus.
Physical Requirements:
o Ability to effectively communicate with others both written and orally, including the telephone. Mobility within the work facility. Ability to independently travel domestic and internationally. 75% Travel. Ability to lift 50 pounds.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
