Service Technician
Position Title: Service Technician
Reports to: Exec Mgmt Team, Int'l Project Mgr, System & Design Mgr
Oversees: None
Home Office Location: Pensacola, Florida
Brief
Summary: Works primarily, but not exclusively, on construction sites. Provides on-site system commissioning for dimming and relay equipment as well as in-house and on-site repairs of lighting equipment. Ideal candidates will be willing to learn new technology, adapt to rapidly changing situations, exhibit professionalism and communicate effectively.
Duties:
o On site system commissioning for dimming and relay system installations.
o On site system and/or equipment repairs to entertainment equipment.
o Bench repairs for entertainment equipment.
o ETCP and factory field service certifications as required. Interface with Project team to ensure seamless and efficient integration of dimming equipment on any project.
o Efficient processing of paperwork and job documents as dictated by office procedures.
o Upkeep of necessary trade tools and parts.
o Assistance with rigging or lighting installation may be required upon occasion.
Preferred Skill Set:
o Previous electrical experience on construction sites with an understanding of basic electronics and the knowledge and ability to trouble shoot digital and analog circuitry.
o Read and understand blueprints
o Knowledge of theatrical equipment, practices and procedures, and/or television, event or stage production
o Basic understand of computer networking.
o P/C experience with Windows, especially Word and Excel
o Better than average math skills
Interpersonal:
o High degree of professionalism when dealing with customers including construction crews, electricians, etc.
o Work with or without supervision and make sound decisions based on guidelines established by management.
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
Condition(s) of Employment:
o Possess or have ability to obtain ETCP Electrician Certification within required time frame.
o Clean driving record.
o Security clearances.
o Drug testing: Pre-employment and random.
o Extensive travel is absolutely necessary and at times may include weekends or multiple weeks at a time. Travel expenses are paid. Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport.
o Ability to lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
o Work in extremely dusty/dirty/noisy/chaotic conditions.
o Must be willing to follow OSHA rules as well as Mainstage safety protocolEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
