Group Employee Benefits Account Executive
The Group Employee Benefits Account Executive is a newly created position for a large insurance agency in Jackson and focusing on strategic management of an assigned block of clients, many of which have larger, complex life and health plans. This is truly a hybrid position blending the best elements of client service and account management with external client consulting, marketing and business development. You are not required to originate new business. Instead, your primary responsibilities are to support and lead the stewardship process working closely with the senior producer to meet deadlines, address concerns and prepare for renewals.

Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary point of contact for the insured on all insurance related matters with respect to group medical, dental, vision, disability and other ancillary insurance lines.
Provide education and consultation on plan questions, coverage, pricing, claims and enrollments.
Execute the renewal cycle, coordinate all renewal marketing and create RFPs.
Be a resource for producers and client service colleagues concerning markets, coverage issues and compliance.

Qualifications:
Approximately 2-5 years of group life and health insurance experience. Solid understanding of group plans including the sales, underwriting and retention cycle. Insurance agency or major medical carrier experience is preferred.
Experienced in the field working directly with clients to discuss mid-year plan reviews, present proposals and negotiate with underwriters.
Business development, account management or sales and marketing background is highly desired.
Knowledgeable with compliance issues- HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, etc.
