Ensures internal control systems are in place to ensure accountability for resources, equipment, and other assets. Controls appropriate and timely obligation and authorization for all control points. Develops a proposed budgetary allocation for the CBOC with limitations set by management. Serves as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and maintains COR training certification every two years. Plans and coordinates the operations for a successful Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model at the assigned CBOC. Tracks and assimilates data related to CBOC performance, utilizing databases. Monitors and assess patient satisfaction, performance improvement activities. Reviews SHEP scores and implements action plans for improvement in meeting and exceeding SHEP expectations. Plans, develops and executes a system for providing required reports. Conducts routine tracers to assure compliance. Tracks and trend tracer data. Manages an effective safety program in compliance with VA, TJC, and OSHA standards. Conducts/coordinates annual fire and disaster drills and maintains documentation. Completes reports as required following all disasters and adverse events. Acts to prevent adverse events and plans for disaster management. Serves as point of contact during any adverse events in the CBOC. Meets the needs of customer while supporting VA missions. Communicates and treats customers in courteous, tactful, and respectful manner. Provides customer with consistent information according to policies and procedures. Handles conflicts and problems in dealing with customer constructively and appropriately. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related, that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. You must have an equivalent combination of specialized experience and education beyond the first 2 full years of graduate level education to meet the total experience requirements. While the work is partially sedentary, there are demands for standing, walking to decentralize clinical locations, bending, and carrying small weighted objects. The work requires some travel to the G.V.(Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center. Travel may also occur for education purposes. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
